Will there be any impact on biodiversity?

The scale and design of the development has been carefully considered with reference to designated sites and ecological sensitivities surrounding the site. The site is currently grassland and scrub. Environmental studies (including ecological and biodiversity assessments) will be carried out and recommendations from these will be implemented to ensure that there is no negative impact on biodiversity. Great Crested Newts are known to be present and there is an existing Site Environmental Management Plan, which includes obligations for the site in terms of management of the site and protection of Great Crested Newts.
